YC122.12.21 - The Job

Today has been a good day. I was out on patrol scanning down Wightstorm data sites when a ping came through on Galnet of a potential job. It was a few jumps from the system I was in, so I decided to investigate. 

Edgerunner Jericho (laughs) obviously not his real name, but I guess that would compromise opsec for the FIO if it were. The job looked easy enough and the intel I have from the FDU states that the system of Eugales is quiet. Arriving into the system I saw that local comms chatter was minimal, and the d-scan was clear, so I plotted a course and flew straight for Eugales VI. 

The relay was easy to find but the marines on the other hand were a little harder to handle. The cargo hold of Imicus class frigate wasn't really fit for passengers but we managed to work something out, reassuring them that they wouldn't be in any danger. The drop off location was in the system at the Federal Defense Union Assembly Plant, so the marines didn't suffer long and were shepherded out along with the packages. I mailed the contact on completion and left to wait for the isk to roll in. I may jinx it, but it might have been the best isk per hour payout I've had.

I am really quite proud of myself today, not only did I take the initiative picking this job up on my own but it's the first time I can contribute properly to the corporation making me feel like an important member of the team.

My biggest worry when I started this was that I would forget to take notes of my thoughts and feelings. I guess that was true? Is it possible that I am starting to lose touch with my own emotions like Charles mentioned all those months ago. Sure, I still get the shakes in combat, but they are not from panicking or worrying, they are from euphoria. That excitement of testing my skills against another. Like gladiators from the storybooks, striking at each other, blocking, parrying back and forth, vying for that killing blow. Maybe this is something all capsuleers experience, and maybe what leads them to that god complex I've seen? YC122.10.29 - Crimson Harvest

  //PERSONAL LOG //ENTRY BY CLEMENTINE LAFLEUR //DATE YC122.10.29   I have woken up to see reports flooding in via Galnet of Blood Raider fleets making their annual raids of high and lowsec space. It marks the start of what they call Crimson Harvest and it will be my first time actually seeing it. The older classmates at the University would tell scare stories of Amarrian cults that would capture you because you were a clone, believing that your blood was sacred to them. They would string you upside down and drain you like cattle and bath in your blood. They wouldn't kill you straight away no, you would be kept alive to ensure every last drop was squeezed out of you. You would suffer a very long and painful death until you were recloned. They would somethings finish the story with a crescendo of evil laughter, which seems cheesy now I think about it. YC122.10.27 - Silas Vitalia

I didn't know what to expect, but Edward (aka Mantel) our FC reassured me that it was going to be a straightforward exercise. We were to form up in Tanoo ready to attack an Astrahus class citadel owned by an individual named Silas Vitalia. I had been told she had upset quite a few people, enough to warrant the destruction of her base. Our CEO Charles said that we had been contracted to carry out the destruction of it and that as far as he knew, it was going to be just us.
